Linux Is Best<p><a href="https://mskey.nekomimi.party/@theking" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@theking@mskey.nekomimi.party</a><span> Install Vivaldi Browser. Give it notification permission. Visit your Fediverse Site, login, and when asked, if you want to allow notifications, say, yes. Click the Vivaldi logo next to the address bar, click on add page too, and select your home screen, then select "install". <br><br>You now have your own app for Sharkey. This will work for Misskey, CherryPick, and Mastodon too. <br><br></span><a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Misskey" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Misskey</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/CherryPick" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CherryPick</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Mastodon" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Mastodon</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Sharkey" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Sharkey</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Fediverse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fediverse</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Fedi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fedi</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/AcrivityPub" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AcrivityPub</a> <a href="https://mk.absturztau.be/tags/Vivaldi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Vivaldi</a></p>
Linux Is Best<p><a href="https://mastodon.social/@_elena" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@_elena@mastodon.social</a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/@phaedral" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@phaedral@mastodon.social</a><span> I invite you to check my post history. <br><br>In it (my post history), you will discover I once sounded much like yourself, praising and even promoting Sharkey. I would go so far as to say, I once used to talk about Sharkey, more than the Sharkey Development Team. <br><br>Then I learned, from experience, the downside of Sharkey. <br><br>For example, the development tricked its user base to donate 2,000+ for their own dedicated server, only to use that server as their personal computer (playing Minecraft), and four (4) months later taking that server offline, and brining it home as their personal PC. The "Join Sharkey" website was never brought back online, and remains offline, even today (except for an out of date Wiki hidden in a subdomain).<br><br>You will also note how toxic and hateful the Sharkey Development can be. Often spending a good portion of their time trolling users (especially anyone who calls then out on their nonsense or past exploits). You may even discover, whenever they are backed into a corner, they will claim you are homophobic. I again, invite you to see my post history, going as far back as May 30, 2023, when I first joined the Fediverse (I have always supported, equality and human rights).<br><br>There are many Fedi developments that embody the spirit of the Fediverse, and Sharkey is not one of then.<br><br></span><a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Sharkey" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Sharkey</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Fediverse" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fediverse</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/Fedi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fedi</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/AcrivityPub" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AcrivityPub</a> <a href="https://kitty.social/tags/LGBTQ" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LGBTQ</a></p>
Matthias Pfefferle<p>I stumbled upon an article (but forgot to bookmark it) about strictly defined specification vs loosly defined/community driven development. I think it was in the context of <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AcrivityPub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AcrivityPub</span></a> and the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> </p><p>Maybe someone of you may remember it?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/followerpower" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>followerpower</span></a></p>
