#Ventoy is a tool that allows you to #boot an #iso file directly from a #USB drive. Many people recommend it online, but most people are unaware that Ventoy modifies the installation ISO and injects #binary_blobs.

There is probably no acceptable reason to use it. I recommend that you consider all installations made with Ventoy as #tampered_with and #untrusted.

Imbassaí is wonderful small village directly by the Atlantic Ocean approximately 80 km north of Salvador. The former indigenous village has become a touristic center in the region, due to its amazing location and beauty. It’s directly located where a river with the same name (Imbassaí) flows into the ocean. The river separates the beaches, which are located on an offshore island, from the land. That means if you’re on the beach island you can choose between the wild saltwater of the Atlantic Ocean or the calm sweet water of the Imbassaí river.

Patch applied.

Turns out these boots are made of EVA foam, which explains why they were so good in winter.

Also means they can be easily fixed with cyanoacrylate glue (superglue).

Been wrestling some more concrete in the garden and the patch holds so far.

Same boot as before, but the triangular hole has been glued back together. Some white glue residue is smeared around, as nobody cares about cosmetics on farmer boots. There's a wet spot from use of accelerant (water).

Do any of the Linux heads around here know anything more about this error, except that -110 appears to be a timeout error?

I'm getting this regularily. It seems to be related to my two Oculus Rift Sensors (essentially USB cameras) connected via a 4 meter USB 3.0 extension cable. Windows, however, never has an issue with them.

I'm curious. What exactly is happening here?
