Alba :heart_nb:<p>So a few weeks ago I dusted off an unused 12 year old laptop, gave it a nice RAM upgrade to 8GB (from its original 2GB) and replaced its 5400rpm hard disk by a (for what it was used to) blazing fast little SSD, and slapped Debian 12 Xfce on it. That felt nice and nostalgic, because I had used Debian in the 1990s, but after a few days I wanted to try something else... Maybe something with KDE, since I had actually not ever used that? So off came Debian, and on went Tuxedo OS, an Ubuntu based distro with KDE. But after a few days, I realised that, nah, KDE isn't my jive... I then stumbled across Bunsenlabs Boron. A Debian 12 based distro that uses... Openbox WM? I had never heard of that so I had to try it, and here we are! Under the hood it's clearly not as smooth and polished as big commercial distros like Ubuntu and Tuxedo, but its Debian 12 skeleton that the BLOB (BunsenLabs OpenBox) bling is draped over gives it a very solid base. I think I like it! We'll see how long it lasts.
