Amazing to see so many kids enjoying active, independent mobility across the entire city - and so much space for #OpenStreet markets & neighbourhood activities! 
The entire city feels like a #kidicalmass bikeride!
Can you imagine a city with less noise and less air pollution?
Today we experienced it here in Brussels and in hundreds of EU cities on #CarFreeDay!
1929 cities from 43 countries are participating with a single motto: ‘Shared public spaces’ and show their commitment to cleaner and more sustainable urban transport during #MobilityWeek.

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation Commuter Services outreach teams are celebrating Car Free Day by hitting the streets to bring you some fantastic freebies and an opportunity to win exciting prizes

Somewhat sheepish to admit that I was unaware of World Car-Free Day until an hour ago, and today was going to be a drive-to-work day.
Fortunately (?) the 22-year-old Subaru had different thoughts so it was a tow the car to the mechanic and bike-to-work late day. Makes it a 5-for-5 biking-to-work week.
"Stell dir vor, es ist Stadt und keiner fährt Auto."
Und nun aus der Sicht eines Kindes: Was wäre alles selbständig möglich, was jetzt zu unbequem, ungesund, unsicher ist!
Eine Stadt, in der sich Kinder entfalten können, wäre ein guter Ort für alle Erwachsenen!
