The US Conference of Catholic Bishops is the largest private resettlment program in the US and one of 10 national agencies that serve refugees. The conference says the halt in foreign aid has resulted in the Trump administration witholding millions of dollars, including for reimbursements of costs incurred before the ban went into effect. Zach DeLongI’m reading this document about AI development and its use by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith. It’s pretty interesting. I have a few thoughts on the differences between humans and AI; it’s easy to fall into the ‘God of the gaps’ trap when thinking about these differences, but I don’t disagree with anything they say.
