Stmnt: "The Cmte will continue reducing its holdings of #Treasury #securities & agency #debt & #mortgage‑backed securities. Beginning in April, the Cmte will slow the pace of decline of its securities holdings by reducing the monthly redemption cap on Treasury securities from $25B to $5B."

While for many the recent rise to 4.5% #interestrates in the UK will have significant consequences for standards of living (squeezed when fixed rate #mortgage renewals roll around).... just be thankful you're not in #Argentina;

There the #centralbank is just about to raise interest rates to 97%, but even then #inflation is running at over 100%.

With a growing budget deficit funded by 'printing' money & depreciating currency Argentina looks to be in crisis (again)... makes the UK look stable
