The finished, updated and extended land of Nicea. The new sections are to the far west and east. Seeing the ocean on both sides frames the continent and improves the map more than I would have guessed. The real delight of this map is how well loved the world is by the family that runs their dnd game there, I try to add details from the games and honour the representation of a very special fantasy realm. #dndmap #cartography #rpg #dnd #maps

Some swooshy sleeves presented by my favourite Larp character.
Since it is super hard to get some nice pictures during a Larp I had a shoot last year in fall. I only have worn this gown once (for a Larp) so far. I would live to bring it to a ball. But for regular use it is by far too impractical.
Eventually she's going to get a more impressive base, but until I get around to basing week (there are so many minis that need bases) she's done.

A favorite RPG blogpost of mine is “On Resurrecting the Quantum Ogre and Having Him Over for Tea” (https://hackslashmaster.blogspot.com/2011/09/on-ressurecting-quantum-ogre-and-having.html).
In tonight’s D&D session, the party finds a crown they know must be destroyed. After two attempts with what they have on hand, the DM speaks up to remind us of a special hammer and anvil encountered in a session almost two real months ago. Bravo!
Time is the thing we all have the least of. That reminder saved time and had zero downsides.
#DnD advice: If your players are gravitating towards a specific aspect of the campaign, don't be afraid to give it more of the spotlight. My campaign is now officially The Adventures of Goblin with a Cool Hat and his Player Character Friends.
