Ellie Kennard<p>This episode is chilling. But important information, nonetheless. </p><p>The human guinea pigs testing drugs for a living. </p><p>"Thousands of Canadians make a living volunteering to test out new drugs in clinical trials, even if those drugs can have dangerous, unpredictable side-effects. Strypey<p><a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/SpiderHead" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SpiderHead</span></a> is a film from the Black Mirror school of screenwriting. It begins in a progressive correctional facility funded by drug trials. Experimental drugs auto-injected by remote control pods, only after explicit verbal consent from the subject. What could go wrong? It's dark, no question, but like Devs, it's a thoughtful psychological thriller played out in a near-future, sci fi scenario.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/movies" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>movies</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/SciFi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SciFi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/BlackMirror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BlackMirror</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/DrugTrials" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DrugTrials</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/MedicalEthics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MedicalEthics</span></a></p>
