@Stig at man anbefaler folk/konti, som man selv har glæde af at følge. Jeg tog et kig på dem som jeg selv følger og valgte at startede med at pege på dem der har noget med klima at gøre, herunder dig. Det her hashtag eller bare #ff blev især brugt på Twitter, tilbage da det bredte sig og folk skulle finde ud af, hvad der var at følge. Så nu prøver jeg noget tilsvarende på (dansk) Mastodon 🙂

The #FollowFriday tradition is a popular social media practice that has spread to various platforms, including Mastodon. The idea of recommending interesting accounts to follow every Friday started on Twitter in 2009. You can use the hashtag #FollowFriday or just #FF. This idea quickly became popular and spread to other social media platforms, including Mastodon it isn’t different.

Our #FollowFriday posts are a great way to suggest people follow great companies, non-profits, founders and open-source projects that have created and built brilliant European alternatives to foreign products and services.

We propose a new theme on a weekly basis, and to that effect here is a list of accounts to be followed on Mastodon for those interested in email providers and search engines:

Haven’t managed a #FF in a bit - but I’ve just had a gorgeous #commision piece arrived. So, here’s two #art recommendations off the back of that.

@welshpixie - gorgeous calligraphy focused prints with the most beautiful bordering and lettering. 10/10 would hire to “Book of Kells” a memoir.

@Ciaraioch - one of the best people on the internet - will make you burst out laughing. Wonderfully unique and brilliant style that’s cheeky and utterly captivating.

Two Art Pieces. (Top) A Calligraphy piece by WelshPixie with a floral border of Heather, thistles, Gorse, and BlackBerry Briars. The text is from a James Connolly piece, and reads “For our demands most Moderate are, we only want the Earth - James Connolly 1907” (Bottom) A portrait of James Connolly by Ciaraioch. His fire and surnames sit on either shoulder. Black and white image capturing something of the man that you usually see in photos of him.

A gift from a pal was a commission with Ciaraioch. I decided my big lump of a dog at the time could do with his 15 minutes. Scene is Bodhi standing triumphant over, Cu Chulainn, a mythical Irish character who he’s slain. Piece is called “The Real Hound of Ulster”. To the side is a caricature of me in a knitted tank top (which is a real thing I own, knitted many times over the years for me by my Nan). Can’t tell you how much this piece means to me. Bodhi is an ex-Romanian Stray who ended up in Glasgow fostered by a Monaghan woman who I had never met, but on adopting the big lump of a - we realised we were from the same town. Figured despite never being to Ireland - Bodhi had found his people. Annoyingly for me, we’d to rehome Bodhi after we found out we had a small person on the way - and Bodhi unbeknownst to us at the time of adoption had some big old behavioural issues. Despite lots of work with him and him coming on miles - he’s the best dug, but just needed some love, it wasn’t going to be safe around little people. Somehow, stars aligned and a neighbour (also Irish) had just lost their dog and we ended up talking and they asked if they could adopt Bodhi. So, notwithstanding me crying loads and not really processing passing my pal terribly well at the time - all turned out really well. Still see the lump and maybe because his owners feed him whole chickens he doesn’t seem too mad and still gallops over to say hi.

Getting very close to the end of #FFXIII, and only now really getting into upgrading weapons. That is where the damage deficiency is. Really 11th hour for me to be learning this.

I also learned about the Lionheart gunblade, which you can only get in the last chapter. And I want it so bad. The Squall fan in me is screaming.

y también quiero mencionar que mi vivencia ha sido una combinación de lógica pero con un ámbito muy social también, como usuarie, me gusta decirlo porque a veces puede parecer intimidante porque parece nuevo pero el fediverso no es nuevo, es diferente y cada vez es más masivo y sigo pensando como en mis inicios por acá que es lo que será para el futuro, sin embargo para ello se debe habitar e impulsar en el presente, y solo la unión como comunidades nos dejará vivirlos bien.
