But also of smaller day-to-day things like bike kitchens, cyclists unions, and general advocacy.I am not particularly active, but through CM I have interacted with multiple local cycling organizations very organically, and I have always felt welcome across these boundaries of multiple organizations, and many people seem to participate actively in multiple.Near to me, it is very campaign-focused, especially due to the excellent work of the <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Boston" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Boston</a> Cyclists Union who have done so much excellent work. In der Umleitung um einer langstreckige Hauptstrassensperrung ist ne Baustelle mit maximaler Fahrbahnverengung und mit duch Bauzaun abgetrennten Gehweg mit "Radfahrer frei". Normalerweise fahre ich ja lieber auf der Strasse, aber die Blechpiloten waren aufgrund der Umstände eh schon maximal agitiert, da wollte ich nicht Gefahr laufen, gerammt zu werden. Der Bereich ist auch breit genug, dass an meiner Rennwanne noch ein Mensch bequem vorbeikommt. Jedenfalls kommt mir kurz vor Ende der Strecke ein Seniorenpärchen mit Fiffi entgegen - die Sorte, denen eins schon ansieht, dass sie darauf aus sind, der wilden Jugend mal zu zeigen, wo's langgeht - Arm in Arm, Mundwinkel bis unters Doppelkinn, die Leine bzw. die Handtasche wie eine entsicherte Waffe in der Hand. Ich nähere mich langsam. Bleibe stehen. Ganz am Rand, so dass eine Person mit Hund und Übergewicht an mir vorbeigehen könnte. Sie kommen heran, bleiben - Arm in Arm, den Fiffi kurzgehalten - direkt vor der Lastkiste stehen. Wir schauen uns an. Er so: "Sie müssen hier absteigen!" Denke kurz über eine Diskussion nach, dann denke ich mir nur so "ok, wenn ihr das so wollt" und steige ab. Stehe also jetzt mit meinem knapp 70cm breitem Luxuskörper neben der 90cm breiten Rennwanne und lächle die beiden freundlich an, während ich darauf warte, dass sich da gegenüber eine Erkenntnis anbahnt. Der Beifahrer in dem Bulli neben uns lacht. Fiffi piselt an den Bauzaun. Ein Tumbleweed rollt gegen eine Warnbake, in der Ferne macht ein Uhu ein Facepalm. Er wieder: "Wie sollen wir denn jetzt hier durchkommen?" Bevor ich etwas sagen kann, ruft ein Bauarbeiter: "Vielleicht lassen Sie die Dame wieder aufsteigen und lassen mal kurz Ihre Olle los, dann passt das! Oder Sie warten ne halbe Stunde, bis der nächste Kipper kommt, dann müssen wir hier eh kurz die Straße dicht machen!" ...netterweise haben sie sich dann für die einfache und zeitsparende Möglichkeit entschieden. Guido PagenkoppKurvenlicht am Fahrrad selbstgebaut: Immer wieder lese und höre ich und weiß aus Erfahrung, das im Dunkeln die Kurven auch dunkel sind. Nun gibt es ja die Idee mit dem Kurvenlicht. Bei den PKW nutzt man dafür das Tageslicht oder ähnliches. Am Fahrrad haben wir nur ein Licht.  Aber kein Problem,wir montieren einfach noch zwei Scheinwehrwerfer dazu. Lots of existing improvements under threat pending a "review" (poll, I'm sure) periodwe had a lovely e-trike (Lectric) riding with <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/CriticalMass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CriticalMass</a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Boston" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Boston</a> last week in some protest action to compliment some lobbying action to encourage the Mayor not to make a cynical campaign pivot to <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/CarCentrism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CarCentrism</a> to compete with her anti-bike opponent.It was a pleasure to have <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Trike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Trike</a> representation in our mass. It left me thinking about how wonderful it is that we can move in different ways, but share the joy of riding, and stand as political allies.
