New release of #FediAlgo (customizable #algorithm for your #Mastodon timeline) has a couple of cool features:

1. Configuration presets (so you can easily put discussions or trending toots at the top of your #timeline without fiddling with the individual settings)

2. A "What's Trending" section that will show you the top trending hashtags, links, and posts scraped from 30 or so of the most popular Mastodon servers

All the old features like filtering for particular languages / hashtags / users or a minimum number of replies / boosts / etc. are still there.

For now you still need to use the command line to run it (it's easy tho). If there's interest I can deploy the demo publicly.

The email newsletter service I was experimenting with to send my @sonnets's daily sonnet to an email list is not as free as I need it to be.

Since my Sonnet a Day is a labor of love and earns no money to pay for itself, I am on the hunt for a good, no cost (super low cost?) rss feed to email list service.

Any ideas?

I want to expand the contents of my feed with more LGBTQ+-diverse authors. Can anyone recommend some good blogs - not necessarily about queer topics, but from queer sources talking about life, their interests, whatever. Preferably with an available Atom/RSS feed 🙏

@alice, @luna , I feel like you'd have some good reqs :)

I follow mostly programming and retrocomputing blogs/feeds right now. But I'd like to support more queer voices, even if it's just by listening to what they have to say.

For anyone who is currently in the @surf beta and is wanting to add a "tech feed" to Surf, then the link below should allow you to do just that. This is the feed I have created, and currently named All Things Tech, in reference to my old Mastodon instance.

This feed is still a work in progress and I'll be adding more sources to it over time.

If you have recommendations of any source you'd like to see me add to this tech feed, just let me know.

You can also just search for "All Things Tech" using the search function within the app.
