Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers was released 31 years ago, published by Sierra On-Line and created by Jane Jensen. Justifiably considered one of the most iconic point-and-click adventure games, the first in the GK series, featuring a haunting story, and the talents of Tim Curry as Gabriel, Leah Remini as Grace Nakimura, and one of Mark Hamill's most underrated but still brilliant performances as Detective Mosely.
The Gabriel Knight 1 audio fix has been implemented in the latest version of ScummVM (so the pearl-clutchers at VOGONS can rest easy now).
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is a great game but the CD-ROM version with voices by the likes of Tim Curry and Mark Hamill is unfortunately marred by audio glitches. This patch fixes those audio glitches: https://alltinker.itch.io/gk-speech-fix

Why do I like adventure games so much?
It's partly because at the time when I discovered this genre, it was the only one to offer strong, independent female characters who owed their salvation only to their intelligence.

Finally played through the original #GabrielKnight I have mixed feelings.The story was compelling, I loved the graphics and music especially. Gabriel himself I found to be a bit of a creep and jerk. Grace is an awesome character though.
