#India, experts say, is an ideal place for piloting a net-zero-energy city, which meets all of its energy needs with renewables. The country of more than 1.4 billion people is one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, and its leaders have pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070.”

The Washington Post · This muggy city keeps cool with minimal AC. Here’s how.By Allyson Chiu

Unbelievably believable. The Musk / Trump administration is a bunch of fascist clowns. Our only hope is their incompentency gets them removed before they destroy the world.

"On Tuesday, March 11, I received a connection request on Signal from a user identified as Michael Waltz. Signal is an open-source encrypted messaging service popular with journalists and others who seek more privacy than other text-messaging services are capable of delivering. I assumed that the Michael Waltz in question was President Donald Trump’s national security adviser. I did not assume, however, that the request was from the actual Michael Waltz. I have met him in the past, and though I didn’t find it particularly strange that he might be reaching out to me, I did think it somewhat unusual, given the Trump administration’s contentious relationship with journalists—and Trump’s periodic fixation on me specifically. It immediately crossed my mind that someone could be masquerading as Waltz in order to somehow entrap me. It is not at all uncommon these days for nefarious actors to try to induce journalists to share information that could be used against them.

I accepted the connection request, hoping that this was the actual national security adviser, and that he wanted to chat about Ukraine, or Iran, or some other important matter.

Two days later—Thursday—at 4:28 p.m., I received a notice that I was to be included in a Signal chat group. It was called the “Houthi PC small group.”"

The Atlantic · The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War PlansBy Jeffrey Goldberg

OMG

🚨🚨#Trump's *#NationalSecurity* team accidentally included The Atlantic's Jeff Goldberg in a #Signal conversation about strikes on #Houthis, & they used the non-governmental platform to coordinate staffing among departments & the White House.🚨🚨

They absolutely broke several #laws in communicating classified detailed warplans over a nongovernmental app on their private phones.

I mean… talk about an #idiocracy & #kakistocracy.

For most people, the #courts will continue to operate as usual—until they don’t.

On Sept 20, 1938, a man who had witnessed the rise of #fascism packed his suitcases & fled his home in Berlin. He arranged to have smuggled separately a manuscript that he had drafted in secret over the previous 2 yrs. This book was a remarkable one. It clarified what was unfolding in Berlin…, the catalyst for its author’s flight.

A tiny French village became an #ALS hot spot. Neurologists found that the patients consistently ate three foods: game, dandelion greens, and, notably, wild mushrooms. @shayla__love traveled there to investigate:

'For nearly a decade, Mr. Johnson has wielded confidentiality agreements to control his image and the companies he built atop that image. His employees, sexual partners, vendors and contract workers have all had to sign the documents, sometimes in exchange for settlements, severance or continued employment at his firms, according to people close to him and his start-ups, internal documents and court records.'

Obscured by the absurd theatricality of this #Trump presidency is a dangerous erosion of the principle upon which the nation was founded: the rule of #law.

The genius of the #Constitution is its system of #ChecksAndBalances, w/ #ThreeEqualBranches of the federal government sharing #power. Trump is claiming the authority to rule as he pleases, arrogantly daring #Congress & the #judiciary to stop him.
