Got this piece completed this morning. It’s a riff on “Jack & the Beanstalk”.

I tried some foil-looking thing for the leaves this time, and I don’t think it’s as effective here as it could be for something that really needs something shiny or sparkly—like Cinderella, maybe? Hm.

Anyway, it’s done! All me and Procreate—not a lick of AI involved at all. Hate the stuff.

I’m actually really really happy with it! This was a stretch for me, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned this last week is that stretching is important. My stiff, sore body can attest to that.

Thanks to the #MutualAid community on TikTok, my partner, our two cats, and I are able to leave the extended stay hotel we’ve been struggling to stay sheltered in, and now have an #RV to call home.

I currently have a children’s #storybook that I wrote and illustrated, on hold for (self)publication. It is a family-friendly book about my experiences with #homelessness stemming from childhood #abuse from the perspective of a cat.
I’m also slowly but surely working on an #autobiography about my experiences being #ActuallyAutistic with #CPTSD in hopes of reaching other people with similar stories. #Trauma and #HealingTrauma is also the main point of my music.

I’m getting around to joining some local arts organizations in Humboldt County, my new home.

Redwood Art Association has a member gallery downtown which I’m really excited about. It’s a big part of a local Arts Alive monthly festival they have downtown just 5minutes away from my home.

I got this done last night, and I am really really having fun. I’m so happy with these deep glaze effects and the earthy color palettes. And can you tell I’m in love with texture? Woohoo!

It’s a heck of a process to make things like this in Procreate, and I’m sure there are tools and actions that make it easier to do in some Adobe-based app, but since I work in a digital medium I really want to make it by my own hand as much as possible. It’s more “authentic” that way somehow…

Regardless, I’m gonna keep making more! I’m having a grand old time!
