JV #Vance once again speaks out of turn and tells #Greenland that it will be "up to the people of Greenland" to first "vote for independence [from Denmark]", followed by "a vote on whether or not they wish to join the U.S. with its obvious advantages."

#OrangeHitler has made no such offer/promise.

If you recall, it was Vance who assured everyone that #NaziDon would NEVER just pardon all 1500 #Jan6 rioters. That the "violent" ones will remain in jail. #DoTheyEverTalkToEachOther #CreepingFascism

Trump has now floated the idea of paying #reparations to the #Jan6 insurrectionists.

This underscores the fact that Trump has not really pardoned the #J6 convicts so much as he has absolved them of all culpability. IOW, there was no criminality here. Very legal, very cool patriotism only.

The real injustice, Trump asserts, was done TO them.

Typically idiotic.

DOJ asks Judge Beryl Howell to disqualify herself from Perkins Coie case on the grounds that she has "disdain for Pres #Trump" and "his supporters"—citing, among other things, her criticisms of the #Jan6 insurrection.

Brad Moss:

If you notice, these inflammatory and completely unprofessional pleadings of late are not being signed by standard DOJ line attorneys. They are consistently being done by acting political personnel.

"DOJ made unusual effort to short-circ series of civil lawsuits seeking to hold #Trump acctable for his supporters’ attack on #Jan6.

..argued..that Trump was acting in his official capacity as president on J6..so fed govt itself should take his place as defendant..could protect Trump from having to face judgment for his role & from having to pay financial damages if..liable" nytimes.com/2025/03/20/us/poli

“I, C.Salvatore D'Alessio, Jr, Dir, Torts Branch, Civil Division, US DOJ,…hereby certify that I have read the Amended Complaint in this action. On the basis of the information now available w/respect to the claims set forth therein, I find that Donald J. Trump was acting within the scope of federal office or employment at the time of the incidents out of which the plaintiffs' claims arose.”

Murphy is a veteran prosecutor who previously worked for the Bronx DA in NY. In 2018, during #Trump's first term, he joined the US Atty's Office in Puerto Rico & worked on drug trafficking & illegal gun prosecutions. Most recently, he served in the #DOJ's Capitol Siege Section, which prosecuted >1,500 people for crimes stemming from the #Jan6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol [all of whom were pardoned by #felon47].

I detest these people on so many levels

JUST IN: After years of litigation about Trump's civil liability for #Jan6, the Justice Department is now moving to substitute itself for Trump in the lawsuit, saying Trump was acting in his official capacity on Jan. 6.

That [gem of a] legal argument popped up in one of the few major court cases against #Trump that have continued since he assumed the presidency & still threaten his bank account — one in which cops & legislators are trying to hold him personally accountable for the damage his followers caused when they stormed the Capitol on #Jan6, 2021.

#PamBondi supported #Trump’s mass #pardons for thousands of his supporters who violently ransacked the US Capitol, including some who assaulted police officers. The #FBI described those involved in the planning & perpetration of that attack as “domestic violent extremists,” whom they had previously identified in threat assessments.
