Jeff Smith<p>Time for a Kölsch, or a few. Tastes best after a big garden project. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nz/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nz/tags/HomeBrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeBrew</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nz/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a></p>

Jeff Smith スミス<p>The good news is that this was the best whirlpool I’ve ever done. Perfectly clear wort from the start as it goes to the fermenter. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/HoneBrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HoneBrew</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a></p>
Jeff Smith スミス<p>Planning to brew a Kölsch tomorrow in anticipation of warmer weather on the horizon. And if I get an early enough start, all goes well, and I have the energy I may also brew a California Common/Anchor Steam-ish beer. Maybe over optimistic - let’s see</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/HomeBrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeBrew</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/CaliforniaCommon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CaliforniaCommon</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/AnchorSteam" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnchorSteam</span></a></p>
IoT Botnet<p>First sip is less than robust. It has some bread and citrus hops, but it is generally pretty tasteless. </p><p><a href="https://www.bfbcping.com/2024/07/jackalope-preds-kolsch.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">bfbcping.com/2024/07/jackalope</span><span class="invisible">-preds-kolsch.html</span></a><br><a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Jackalope" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jackalope</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Beer</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Review" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Review</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Kolsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kolsch</span></a> <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Nashville" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nashville</span></a></p>
Mute Dog Brewing<p>Gotta drink beer while brewing beer, it's pretty much a rule. This Kölsch style ale from pFriem is pretty delicious, has an interesting subtle fruity note to it.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/kolsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>kolsch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/craftbeer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>craftbeer</span></a></p>
Jeff Smith スミス<p>The final product after three weeks of lagering. The glass keeps fogging up as it is pretty warm and humid today. Pretty good clarity. This is very very drinkable. Next time I’ll up the IBU just a bit next time. This is 22 IBU and I’d like it closer to 28-30. Also will use WLP029 instead of the Lallemand dry Kölsch yeast. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/bier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bier</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/HomeBrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeBrew</span></a></p>
Fabrizio Musacchio<p>I actually wonder how <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Cologne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Cologne</span></a> will present itself in <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Ky%C5%8Dto" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kyōto</span></a>. Perhaps with a <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a> exhibition? 😅 If you any information about it, please feel free to leave a comment below ^^</p>
Jeff Smith スミス<p>Pulled a sample of my Kölsch to do a final gravity reading before I put it away to lager for three weeks. Took a bit more than needed because I also wanted to taste some that isn’t the 20°C and degassed sample. Already fairly clear even before 2°C and lagered. Was sitting in a corny keg at 9°C for an extra week to naturally carbonate. </p><p>The extra sample amount tasted amazing.</p><p>Used Tettnang hops for this one. Love that hop!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/K%C3%B6lsch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kölsch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/bier" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bier</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/beer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>beer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/HomeBrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HomeBrew</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.beer/tags/Tettnang" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tettnang</span></a></p>
