Does anyone know what these little plants are? (Location is Dublin, Ireland.)
We didn't plant them (afaik!), and plant apps are giving a variety of suggestions, perhaps as they're too young.

I’m now on the Limerick Junction to Cork train, which is full.
The onboard reservation system isn’t working meaning everyone like me who got on at the junction and had seat numbers assigned online now have to find any seat available on any carriage as it’s now free seating.
Some people are standing and an argument has arisen between a man and two women who technically are sitting in his seat but won’t move.
All this for €25

As it’s the weekend there’s no ticket office open in Clonmel or Limerick Junction train stations and no ability to buy tickets onboard.
The only way to purchase a ticket is online with a credit/debit card. This is both ageist, ableist and classist. It’s excludes people with no internet connections or bank accounts.

Getting a train from Clonmel to Cork.
To drive, it takes approx. an hour. To train, it takes 2 hrs 30mins. I have to take two trains, changing at Limerick Junction. It’s costing me €25 return.
To drive Clonmel to Waterford takes approx. 45 mins. To train takes 50 mins and costs €6 return. The difference is crazy!
Ireland’s rail network outside Dublin is completely inefficient and so expensive. If we are going to stop relying on cars we need a much better national network. #Mastodaoine

Elizabeth Stack, a great friend of mine, has been unfairly dismissed from the American Irish Historical Society despite her incredible work as executive director.

There are two tiny islands by Newfoundland that now have the highest US tariffs in the world as they have all of 5800 people and no industry so they basically sell some fish to the US but don't buy much in return.
Thing is, it used to be a french territory so legally, they're France. They're all French citizens, they're in the EU, they're part of the Eurozone, all that fun stuff.
So the EU has three different tariff rates applied to it because the US is bad at geography.
So let's see.
- The tariff texts all seem to have come from chatGPT
- They made up what they thought other countries have as their tariffs by dividing the trade surplus by the exports instead of actually looking up what the tariffs were
- They tariffed their own military base
- And they tariffed two islands solely occupied by penguins.
And this is what is going to mangle our economy? Well, I can't wait for all this to show up on the six-one news, right?

Welp. RTÉ Radio is playing Great Depression-era ballads, in case anyone's wondering how we're taking things in Ireland.
And.. hand-job gestures..?
Annnnd we're back to the stream of falsehoods and wittering.
20% tariffs against the EU.
Yet to hear of any other tariffs, such as on products.
Ah, right. His speech is just a stream of falsehoods and wittering.

7 dogs went in to advanced guide dog training yesterday. 2 litter mates to Yohan (Yam & Yasha) - they knew each other instantly though they haven't seen each other in over a year.
He's in the same kennel as Vicky, another new arrival that day. They're getting on well. And Valko is her litter mate who arrived as we were handing over, he was brought up within a couple of miles, so they know each other through fundraising.
This part is hard. But we did it. We are strong. And those pups are so needed.
It was always about getting to this point for me. Now I'm here I actually have no idea what to do next.
My friend and puppy raiser legend phoned this morning to check on me. They raised Valko who was being taken into the kennels at Cork at the same time as Yohan.
She asked how I was doing, I said OK, but to be honest I'm struggling. She said she spent the last day crying and tidying the house.
Valko was their 9th puppy. It never gets easier judging by what she said. I asked her to give her other dog a cuddle from me.
We left the call crying.

Yes, Galway taxi driver behind me, that's a huge two metre pothole on Lough Atalia Road, I wouldn't drive my car through it either. I'm moving right for a reason and so if you want to call me names or shake you fist at me fine. You shouldn't have attempted that overtake. I need to get my cameras working again.
