I've found some great Genealogy accounts etc here, but my interactions and subject information on <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Facebook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Facebook</span></a> is far more than I can find here. </p><p>Realistically: Each platform appeals to specific groups and interests. I don't know that the architecture of <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> could be as effective as the interest-specific groups on Facebook. But I also see Mastodon as being more appealing for other topics and interests, and its architecture having some very distinct advantages.</p><p>You also have the fact that both <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Twitter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Twitter</span></a> and <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/Meta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Meta</span></a> offer a comfortable interface to far more <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/news" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>news</span></a> and <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/CurrentEvents" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CurrentEvents</span></a> than is available here on Mastodon.</p><p>One large aspect of this issue, is that Mastodon needs to widen the options of <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/NewsArticles" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NewsArticles</span></a> available here, in order to seriously compete with either other platform.</p>
