Are they known to leak? Do we remove the battery from the chip? Replace the chip with something else?

When I rode to my house yesterday in the afternoon I felt the energy in the street was not right
That was when I was 20 minutes out
At three 
minutes distance I was absolutely certain that a lot was wrong, and I wasn't surprised when I saw the fire trucks close to the houses 
in between the tax office and the brick street.
A massive fire 
which started in an abandoned building {which burned to the ground} hit an apartment building with about 16 units, then raged through a wooden house where an acquaintance of mine lives, levelling that house in minutes. While the fire was burning the wooden one story house was also charring the house beside it.
The fire department had experience with a massive fire in my street more than a decade ago, came with everything {twelve trucks including tankers} and they came fast.
Everyone who was living in the apartment building evacuated safely. A woman 
who I know well confirmed that fact.
However my acquaintance was already intoxicated by the fumes and refused to leave the house thinking that the rescue team from the fire department were robbers!
He was standing with a shotgun ready, didn't point it at them, but refused to leave.
The rescue team was forced to leave him behind and he fell unconscious. When they heard the thump of his corpus hitting the wooden floor, they grabbed him and rushed him to hospital, where he succumbed to the smoke inhalation.
So the abandoned building ignited the apartment building which ignited the wooden house which charred the building beside it. In total three buildings burned, two charred and One person suffocated in the ER. The fire was under control within a very reasonable time, given the fact that my fire department does not have the equipment they need to get every year.
My sincerest Thanks goes to the fire rescue team, because without them the whole block would have burned down...

...in his video about PilotWings 64, Modern Retro Gamer used a bit of footage (attributed) from my recording of an earlier game from Paradigm Simulation for the SGI called "Certain Impact."
I took the rough footage of it running on my SGI O2 (175MHz MIPS R10000 CPU). It seems to be the only substantial footage of the game on the internet.
It's pretty smooth, to be honest. Video can be seen in the blog post I wrote about it some years ago.

If feel like 5 years ago you could travel anywhere including the USA and use your mobile phone at the same costs as if you were in the UK (subject to a lower data fair use limit).

Die großen Mobilfunkanbieter in Deutschland greifen uns nicht nur mit ihren Tarifstrukturen tief in die Tasche. Nein, sie mischen auch noch groß im Datengeschäft mit, indem sie ein äußerst perfides Tracking betreiben. Dass so etwas überhaupt erlaubt ist, ist schlichtweg ein Skandal.

I've just made a considerable update to a brief, 16 year old blog post of mine about a very obscure piece of hardware (the GFX-1600SW), a 3rd-party clone of a somewhat less obscure piece of hardware (the SGI MultiLink adapter), which allows an SGI 1600SW display to be used with systems lacking the LVDS video interface SGI put in the unit, converting it to DVI.
SO...if you read that one back in 2008, be sure to check it out again, because I'd not want you to be running on an old version of that info...

Right, that’s #O2 getting binned. Tariff I’m on is awful (and having recently gone up by nearly £4 a month is just too expensive). Checked in the app and all I get is “No new tariff’s available for you at the moment”.
So I’ve just set up an account with #EE with 3 times the amount of data each month and at £16 per month less.
