Yohan Yukiya Sese Cuneta 사요한🦣<p>Season 04 Episode 11 of Fringe featured the meeting of the two Agent Astrid Farnsworth, one an autistic and the other neurotypical.</p><p>This episode aired on 2012-02-04 and entitled “Making Angels”.</p><p>The autistic Agent Astrid Farnsworth came from the “Amber World” (the parallel world), and the NT Astrid is from the “Prime World” (our world basically).</p><p>The character is, I would say “basic” as far as portrayal of an autistic person. Some would say it's a stereotype. But I like her nonetheless because it was not exaggerated, and the focus was not on her autism instead it was about her many skills.</p><p>And in this episode, we saw through her that autistic people are humans too. That we have our own struggles, we do cry and feel emotions (contrary to the claims that we lack it), and we just want to live like everyone else.</p><p>---</p><p>The autistic Astrid was introduced in season 2 (2009–2010). The actress, Jasika Nicole, was praised for her performance of both the neurotypical and the autistic Agent Astrid.</p><p>How about you, what do you think of her character? How was the performance (specifically with autistic Astrid)?</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/Fringe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fringe</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Autistic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Autistic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Autism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Autism</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/AutismSpectrum" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AutismSpectrum</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Neurotypical" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Neurotypical</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/SciFi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SciFi</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/TV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TV</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ScienceFiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ScienceFiction</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Isekai" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Isekai</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ParallelWorlds" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ParallelWorlds</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ParallelWorld" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ParallelWorld</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/Autistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Autistics</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ActuallyAutistic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ActuallyAutistic</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/ActuallyAutistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ActuallyAutistics</span></a> </p><p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/actuallyautistic" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>actuallyautistic</span></a></span> <span class="h-card"><a href="https://chirp.social/@autistics" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>autistics</span></a></span> <br><span class="h-card"><a href="https://chirp.social/@tv" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>tv@chirp.social</span></a></span> <span class="h-card"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/tv" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>tv@a.gup.pe</span></a></span></p>

My first was Book 5 of the original <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/cyoa" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#CYOA</a> entitled, “The Mystery of Chimney Rock” when I was around four (I still have the book somewhere with a missing cover). By fourteen, I enjoyed reading a non-fiction book entitled simply as “Brain”, and dreamed of becoming a neuroscientist, which sadly remained a dream.<br><br>My longest read were <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/peterfhamilton" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#PeterFHamilton</a>'s “Pandora's Star” and “Judas Unchained” (more or less 1,000 pages each). My number one favourite is <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/lynnkurland" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LynnKurland</a>'s “Dreams of Stardust” (I even bought every copy I saw and gave it away).<br><br>When it comes to genre, I read anything. In the classics, I love <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/janeeyre" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#JaneEyre</a> by Charlotte Brontë. I also read <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/neilgaiman" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#NeilGaiman</a>'s “American Gods”. But I do have genres I favour more than others: <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sciencefiction" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ScienceFiction</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/fantasy" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Fantasy</a>. To be more specific, science fiction and fantasy with <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/timetravel" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TimeTravel</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/parallelworld" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ParallelWorld</a> elements, if the author can combine it together, even better (like Lynn Kurland's novels: <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/scifi" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#scifi</a> + fantasy + <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/romance" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#romance</a> and sometimes with <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/paranormal" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#paranormal</a> too).<br><br>That said, my taste in live-action shows is somewhat similar. And the more complex and/or engaging the story is, the more I love it. Some examples are:<br><br>(in no particular order)<br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/grid" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Grid</a> (#그리드) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EA%B7%B8%EB%A6%AC%EB%93%9C-grid-explained-2022116/</a><br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sisyphusthemyth" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SisyphusTheMyth</a> (#시지프스TheMyth) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/%EC%8B%9C%EC%A7%80%ED%94%84%EC%8A%A4-sisyphus-the-myth-2021-explained-logically-2021100/</a><br><br>* <a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/alphagateway" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AlphaGateway</a> (#TheGateway) – <a href="https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://im.youronly.one/snoworld/alpha-gateway-2018-parallel-worlds-explained-201956/</a><br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/sports" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Sports</a>. A must.<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://public.garden/tag/games" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Games</a>? This one is a long history. Who doesn't love games, right? My favourite games are: “Super Mario Bros.”, “#Bomberman”.
