With all the hoo-hah about #tylenol and #autism remember we now have a pretty good ideas of some things plus genetic factors are involved. It's #PFAS chemicals - now follow the US corporate-political money and you know why they push a different story

There's now a long list of papers all over the world that are all much like this :

sciencedirect.com/science/arti

and we've gone from 2023 - needs more work, to 2024 umm, to 2025 - yep and here's some pathways that might explain why.

A greener approach to finishing fabrics

A new method that chemically alters seed oil from the cotton plant to create an alternative to current finishing agents based on formaldehyde or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) has been presented.

The new material is epoxidised cottonseed oil (ECSO). The ECSO molecules bond strongly to each other, forming a hydrophobic polymer that repels water and avoids wrinkling.

So, yes, there are chemicals involved in natural processes, but you know what's not natural? #PFAS, #PFOS, and other #ForeverChemicals! If folks are becoming wary of #BigChemical (#Dow, #3M, etc) and #Pesticides, that's not a bad thing (imho)... (And no, I am not against vaccines or modern medicine -- just Big Chemical using people and the planet as their dumping ground!)

More And More People Suffer From '#Chemophobia' — And MAHA Is Partly To Blame [But not PFAS manufacturersl?!!]

The fear tactic strikes a nerve with both conservatives and liberals alike. Here’s what you need to know.

New research shows alarming levels of #PFAS " forever chemicals " in the blood of people living or working near a US air force base in New Mexico

The levels are high enough in those who lived and worked near the Cannon air force base in Curry county to raise health concerns
– about 10 times above the levels of those in the region who did not work in the contaminated zone.

The pollution stems from a type of Pfas-laden firefighting foam the military has used across the nation,
and the types of compounds found at high levels in participants’ blood were also commonly used in foam.

Pfas are a class of about 15,000 compounds most frequently used to make products water-, stain- and grease-resistant.

The chemicals have been linked to cancer, birth defects, decreased immunity, high cholesterol, kidney disease and a range of other serious health problems.

They are dubbed “forever chemicals” because they do not naturally break down in the environment.

Pfas are a common ingredient in firefighting foam, and the military is in the process of phasing it out because the highly toxic substance has widely contaminated water and the environment around more than 700 bases nationwide.
However, blood levels of nearby residents are not regularly monitored.
The state of New Mexico is suing the air force to compel it to more quickly and thoroughly address its pollution in the region.
It has poisoned at least 100 private wells, and a public well for Clovis, a nearby city of nearly 40,000 people
