I don't know how, but Smokey is still holding out on us. She loves to chill with me in the office while I'm working. She'll stretch out beside my chair and just watch me work.

Her appetite has gone done now and the kittens are kicking up a storm in there, both signs that they will be here soon.

Oh, and she just jumped up into my lap and started kneading while I was typing this. I didn't think she had it in her.

The #Trump admin on Wed moved to drop an #EmergencyAbortion case in #Idaho.

The #DOJ filed a motion to #dismiss the lawsuit, which was originally filed by the #Biden admin, in a reversal that could have national implications for #UrgentCare.

The suit had argued that #ER #doctors treating #pregnant women had to provide terminations if needed to save their lives or to avoid serious #health consequences in ID, which has one of the country’s strictest #AbortionBans.

I'd love to connect with other #freelancers or #smallbusiness owners out there who are mothers-to-be, #pregnant or new mothers.

I don't quite know what I want out of this, it's just that people around me are generally employees and their journeys look different to mine. I'd like to connect, I guess? We don't have to work in the same sphere at all.

there's always important state and local elections that you need to participate in.

In #Texas, it's apparently against the law to have an #abortion or even to treat a mother in such a way that her foetus ends up dying or aborting naturally. So, a year ago, an eighteen year-old #pregnant girl was refused treatment at three hospitals despite being diagnosed initially with a strep infection, her abdominal cramps being ignored, and she was later diagnosed with #sepsis. She died after 12 hours. What a hole of a country the US is.
