binaryphile<p>I watched <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ValKilmer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ValKilmer</span></a> in the theaters when I saw <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/TopSecret" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TopSecret</span></a>! in 1984. I was a preteen and went with my grandmother...suffice to say, I didn't get it, but my grandmother hated it. I had yet to discover the <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ZuckerAndAbrahams" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ZuckerAndAbrahams</span></a>' over-the-top style of <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/TheKentuckyFriedMovie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TheKentuckyFriedMovie</span></a> and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Airplane" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Airplane</span></a>!, which I soon came to love. The dashing Kilmer also soon became a favorite via <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/RealGenius" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RealGenius</span></a>. What a tremendous talent. And what an underwater bar-fight scene! RIP Val.</p>
