I’m not a shopper, so it was a labor of love, but we were successful in finding a dress for the end-of-the-year dance next month. I have promised myself a day of quiet relaxation. I'm thinking it's from actually working a few muscles that haven't been too active for awhile. I'm wondering if some "nine-to-fiver" somehow drew their attention away from me to have em saving their rain to mess with somebody else's plans. That seems to be their action plans as of late. I'm having an intentionally slower than normal Sunday, usually pretty slow to begin with. When the cats tried to rouse us out of sleep for their morning meal I got up, fed them, and promptly went back to bed. It felt weird, in a self-indulgent way. It's more cloudy than sunny, but it is above freezing already and on its way to mid-40Fs. On yesterday's walk I spotted some sedum shoots in the garden. Through all the bitter cold and snow plants never give up. I needed the reminder that spring is on its way. Today I'll walk by where the daffodils come up, in case there is anything visible. I love Sundays. It's my day of no expectations - anything accomplished is a bonus. !JDA HAS MOVED!I'm trying to avoid our usual Sunday morning grocery store run. With the incoming "snowstorm”, it will probably be crazy out there as everyone overreacts. It's mayhem here at the feeders as soon as the sun rises. Soon I'll have to go out + put out more seed so there's enough for the late comers. I'm excited for a 2 day "heat wave". Today, with luck, we'll reach 37F and tomorrow we'll see 40F! I can't remember the last time that happened.
