State Department changes
Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlined plans to drastically reorganize the department,
saying it was “beholden to radical political ideology.”
The overhaul at the nation’s diplomatic agency will include the #elimination of the office of the under secretary for civilian security, democracy and human rights.
Pentagon chaos:
In three months, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has produced a run of chaos that is #unmatched in the recent history of the Defense Department.
Three members of his inner circle have been accused of leaking to the news media,
and his former spokesman accused the defense secretary of incompetence.
Mr. Hegseth defended his performance on Tuesday, saying his critics were incensed over the rapid changes he has made.
Deportation fight:
The Trump administration continued to #stonewall a federal judge’s demand for information about its efforts to secure the release of a Maryland man who was wrongly deported to El Salvador.
Justice Department lawyers revealed little in court papers filed Tuesday
and lawyers for the man, Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, asked the judge for a hearing on the “government’s failure to comply with this court’s orders.”
