Hey folks. The car insurance and loan vultures are circling again for their respective pounds of flesh. Please help me keep them at bay while I get ready for a month or two of training for my new job. It's $220 insurance, $280 car loan, $500 or so total just for those. I also have other expenses including food to cover and once again my accounts are well into the red.

Any amount spare helps, it all adds up.

I like this poem. It feels (at least to me) resonant with an essay I wrote once called "What is Love?" In it, I take the probably-unusual position that love is about* hysteresis (no relation to hysteria, as the essay explains). Not all love is glamorous.

Every 7th night, they come in droves. Suddenly fast and aware of my hideouts. They'll smash through wooden doors in seconds and claw their way through stone walls and steel bars.

I survived once by climbing on a roof and sniping them from above and through a hole in the roof when they got in, but they almost collapsed the walls to bring me down.

Now I've built a castle. Workshops, vulture tower and killing tunnel with dart traps. Tonight they come.

On top a yet low tower lurches. A long tunnel with funnel-like entrance is supposed to guide zombies into a killing zone. Some green bars identify a staked land claim. The landscape is brown desert with a hand planted forest behind. The sky is yet sunny, but nighttime approaches fast.
