From today in 2020...And yet everyone fell for the culture wars AGAIN and put this asshole in office.
Mad King Trump orchestrated the forbidden deportation of the Venezuelan non-citizens by aircraft. The Felon-In-Chief struck again.
The administration said that the planes needed to land because of "operational" and "national security" reasons.
It was during the hearing that the two planes took off.
Sources said that the administration wanted to get these planes in the air and over international waters prior to any ruling from the judge.
Dear #Democrats, especially you, #ChuckSchumer,
What incentives do we, your constituents, have to continue voting for you if all you're going to do is cave to what the #GOP wants.
You ask us to fight, yet you don't.
That's some impressive leadership right there.
Edit: After reading more about the consequences of letting the govt shut down. I understand why dems voted for the CR. It would have given #TFG and his admin too much power.
#USPol
I like the nickname #TFG because even though he's no longer The Former Guy he's still That Fascist Goon.
How much Elon Musk makes from the government a day: $8 million.
How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65
Guess which budget #NAZI LEON and #TFG want to cut?

Here are the basics:
In order to apply for and participate in federal financial aid programs, students must submit sensitive personal information to the Department of Education and authorize the Department to access their tax records.
The Department of Education retains this information for millions of current and former students and their family members.
Under the federal Privacy Act, the Internal Revenue Code, and the Department of Education’s own regulations, access to these records is strictly controlled, and these records may be used only for specified purposes.
Yet Elon Musk’s “DOGE” squad got access to the computer systems that house this data.

@briankrebs Here we bear witness to severe cuts to, and outright debasing of, public education. Anyone armed with basic, critical thinking skills would immediately see conflicts of interest, and question Musk's intentions. Unfortunately, the base of #TFG enjoy the taste of #cheetojizz and don't question anything. I'm embarrassed of my fellow Americans that elected this current administration and apparently condone its actions.
I just sent this to #Google. It may fall on deaf ears but it made me feel better (#TFG's name is blotted out since I mute posts with it):
Why did Google cave so easily to the idiotic desires of T***p and display the name "Gulf of America" where it has always been "Gulf of Mexico" in Google mapping products?
Just because he says he wants this doesn't mean it should be done. His words are not law; they are the rantings and whining of a lunatic baby and a dictator-wannabe. (1/2)

Here we go...This is what he does...slips in very dangerous stuff while everyone is distracted. I didn't see this, but I wasn't completely submerged in the new for a while.
Public Citizen had filed a lawsuit. citizen.org
The Treasury Department possesses sensitive personal and financial information for millions and millions of Americans who send money to or receive money from the federal government.
Federal laws protect such information from improper disclosure and misuse — including by barring disclosure to individuals who lack a lawful and legitimate need for it.
But instead of protecting Americans’ private information as required by law, Scott Bessent — Trump’s billionaire Treasury Secretary — allowed DOGE full access to the data.
And he punished the Treasury employee who — in accordance with his job duties and the law — tried to protect that information from improper access.
Public Citizen is representing the Alliance for Retired Americans, the American Federation of Government Employees, and the Service Employees International Union in this case, with co-counsel at State Democracy Defenders Fund.
@SaanichGuy @lisamelton Without a grievance he disappears. Even a bogus grievance, entirely fabricated, will keep him going. Understand that as a first premise. #USPoli #CANADA #TFG #America
#TFG established a Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) that could be used to buy TikTok and have it run by ???
"Sovereign Wealth Funds" are actually profit-making businesses competing with private businesses!
A US SWF could be run by salaried government employees or by highly-paid contractors (Haliburton)
Problems with SWFs are: inherent conflicts of interest & opportunities for crony-corruption among elected politicians & bureaucrats/contractors.
For example, if a U.S. SWF bought TikTok they could contract with Elon Musk to run it
Many nations have SWFs, but they’re all countries that have big budget or trade surpluses, or sales of nationally owned resources (China, Saudi Arabia).
U.S. has lots of valuable national resources, but instead of selling our natural resources on the global market we lease them out to mega-corporations at very low 'sweet-heart' rates and it's the corps who reap the profits. Meanwhile we fund our government through debt and taxes.
WHO BENEFITS from SWF?
