⚫⬜ US Tak Association ⚪⬛What's Tak, you ask? Great question! It's a two player abstract boardgame that's "simple in its rules, complex in its strategy". It plays like an ancient game, but it is actually rather new.You see, Patrick Rothfuss first mentioned Tak in the pages of his fantasy novel, The Wise Man's Fear. People wanted to play the game in real life and so a collaboration was hatched between Rothfuss and celebrated game designer, James Ernest. There was a wildly successful Kickstarter, and people have been playing Tak ever since.You don't need to have read the books to enjoy Tak. It's just a great game!People play both competitively and for fun. You can usually find us at GenCon and Pax Unplugged. There is a Portable Tak Notation system for analyzing games. There are more than a few bots to play against.
