I saw someone describe it as a mixture of social/political history and folk horror, which seemed fairly accurate. It covered some interesting themes, but I thought maybe tried to include too much. Depressingly it did make me realise that if things got really awful in the UK and they tried to stop people leaving, being on an island makes escaping pretty tough and the only ways out are refugees' current ways in. <a href="https://universeodon.com/tags/TheWay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TheWay</a>

Louise LocockAbsolutely gripped by <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TheWay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TheWay</a>, director Michael Sheen's brilliant new dystopian drama. Hard to describe so I'll let a review do it for me.
