Had an impromptu conversation with my kids about where do they draw the line regarding Separation of the Art Form and the Artist.
Interesting outcomes for both of them. The line in the sand definitely varies in this household, and kind of surprised by it if I’m being honest here.
Where do you folks stand? I’m curious to know if it’s even a thought to consider for some? Are second chances warranted or once the line is crossed is the damage is done with no turning back?
I belive that generative machine learning (so called "AI") will ultimately show us what is really important in life. It's tangible relationships with people. Any form of genuine human expression, including art is also feeding our relationship to the creator and ourselves. But if we replace that with machine-generated approximation of a real human expression, we are loosing that and becoming isolated. Alone.
Cherish people around you, make more time to be with them.

History Learnings
I recently read an article by Dan Sinker entitled "What Felt Impossible Became Possible". This is a good article to remind us of the history of the United States, ok, a portion of the history of the United States.
Dan Sinker is writing about the KKK in the 1920's. Most people do not realize how prevalent the KKK was.

I think it’s very important for indie artists to continue making art. There is so much freedom and power in it and I believe it opens doors for more people to question how they can create more freedom in their own lives.

To kill an art, create a way to perform the utilitarian aspect of it in a way that is formulaic and efficient i.e. artless.
(The art is not really dead, it is just understood by a very small amount of people (mostly other creators).)
The art of manufacturing clothes, pottery etc were all killed in the previous generation. And in this generation, will see the dead of #writing #drawing and #coding.

You know, we're going to see another very huge round of layoffs in the coming 2 - 4 years when all of these companies that are solely based on AI, have AI in their names and so forth, suffer from this AI phase crashing down around them and times changing to move on to something different.
I can't tell you the amount of people I see on just my LinkedIn page that have taken a new position at some AI focused company. These folks have jumped on the bandwagon and unfortunately for them the wheels are going to fall off of the wagon all at once.
Tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people are going to be without a job because they didn't thoroughly think things through completely before accepting their current jobs/positions.

My mother always calls me a rogue one / loner.
Soon, I will be on a business trip to Helsinki. Alone on a three day journey, including night trains and ferries, as well as a two week stay. It's my second business trip of that kind.
I would prefer to travel with a friend, but I also like being on my own. With friends, it's more fun, but if required, I go alone.
I don't think I'm a lone wolf because I can be alone. But all my life I thought I was and avoided friendship. #witch #thoughts

The colors will return. The colors that live inside each of us.
Like everything else, mass media tells us how to be different, in what ways to "rebel" so that we don't stand out for actually being ourselves, but for fitting into a paradigm given as appropriate: lots of other people will be "different" this way.
Truly being different is being willing to ask the awkward questions when what we're being told doesn't make sense.
