PeterSoukup<p>Finally finished the replacement of the old 8-bit board with 32-bit v 4.2.7 silent board on my Ender-3. I don't know how does the motherboard affect the silence of the 3D printer, but the difference is staggering. Before it was like a column of tanks riding through town, no all I can hear is the fan ... 😀 👍 Looking soon to follow with the installation of CR-touch. I really need to step up my 3D printing game, have fallen behind a little bit in recent years ... </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ender3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ender3</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/tinkering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tinkering</span></a></p>

s0 Traingirl Era<p>After some busy work weeks (including an indie theatre production) I got to work on Banksia again today.</p><p>We got a prototype assembled and working! I did my first hot-plate reflow soldering, and figured out that some of the connector pinouts were backwards, classic. Bodge wires to the rescue. It’s still short a few parts that I forgot to order.</p><p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://cathode.church/@julia" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>julia</span></a></span> helped with a bunch of ESPHome debugging to get it up and running with the bleeding-edge ESP32-C6 support.<br>Happily ESPHome’s component system includes the ability to patch itself directly from specific GitHub pull requests! So we were able to patch the ADC peripheral with code that hasn’t yet made it into the dev stream.</p><p><a href="https://cathode.church/tags/s0Projects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>s0Projects</span></a> <a href="https://cathode.church/tags/tinkering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tinkering</span></a></p>

s0 Traingirl Era<p>Hey hey HEy I spent today designing and laser cutting a box to fit the fan and filters and adapt to my 75mm pipe.</p><p>this thing is gonna work super well! Just put together the box and spun up the fan and there’s <em>so much</em> suction.</p><p>Now I just have to buy some air filters. It’s designed to take Toyota car cabin air filters, which are super cheap (literally like $10), rectangular, available with activated carbon media, and fit the fan size great.<br>The filter will just slot right in the top here (will be the side in operation)</p><p><a href="https://cathode.church/tags/s0Projects" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>s0Projects</span></a> <a href="https://cathode.church/tags/Tinkering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tinkering</span></a></p>
