Hey y'all Happy Thursday to ya.
Would you believe it's already over 70deg #today. Yup, it only dropped down to 69deg overnight and heading up near 90 degrees for #myday.

I tell ya, I'm not ready for any of this. It's way too early in the year to turn on the air conditioning. But man, waking up to such temperatures is causing me to think hard about it.

It's a really warm 75deg inside as it is. So, there's not much a brief relief in opening the windows, and then there's the pollen flowing thickly out there. So, it's a closed house, and the air filter running to keep my from coughing n sneezing my butt off again, kinda day #today.

At least the sun is breaking out from behind the early blanket of clouds to join me in my sitting n sipping. ️

I suppose that goes to show that there's always a bright side to every cloudy day. Y'all have fun finding yours #today.

It's a gray, dreary day out there and I slept later than I wanted to and skipped my early-morning walk.

Today should be the last day the painter is here. It's taken longer than I expected to get this done, but I could not be more pleased with the results so far. I feel like I'm living in a brand new house, fresh and clean.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.

My quiet morning feels a bit disjointed.

Things need doing but I'm looking forward to having them done more than I am the process of getting them there.

That's not how "chop wood, carry water" works.

Maybe the disjoint comes from knowing that the journey is the point but looking forward to the destination is so distracting.

But it's an hour before sunrise. A quiet moment to contemplate the day to come.

Thursday has arrived as Thursdays do, racing past Wednesday towards Friday.

It’s a bit dull & overcast here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire but there is a promise of better weather later & a high of 15ºC.

I’ll hopefully get out later to start cleaning up after the great gravel cleaning exercise, & then maybe spend a little more time on the NMS ‘Relics’ expedition.

Mrs S is off to take her mum to the memory clinic - so that will make 3 of our family with some form of dementia … one would feel cursed if one believed in such things. On the plus side it does mean that I will have a quiet day.

A hot day in the 80s #today.
A windy n cloudy day is keeping me inside. I opened the windows earlier for the fresh air. But I'm kinda figuring that was a bad idea, with the air quality so bad.

It's hotter than "all get out," and the tree pollen is "thicker than thieves." So I've been coughing n sneezing my butt off, trying to see if there's some way I can direct it to shake away at this big belly rather than the backside.  

Got all the Honey-doins done kinda early so I wouldn't sweat all over the clean dishes.

Now, I'm sitting back to sneeze n sweat from the comfort of my comfy couch and preparimg to map a bit n dream about lunch.

Hope y'all are surviving #today a bit better than me and #myday.

Good morning. This morning is a chilly one, but I'm enjoying my coffee bookended by both cats. Lucy's habit is to curl up next to me while I drink my coffee. This morning Ringo has joined us on the opposite chair arm. It's a rare moment of truce in their usual morning games. I'm just grateful I'm on my second (and last) cup of coffee so I can sit here as long as it lasts.

Just a degree above freezing for my early-morning walk -- cold but not too cold, with clear skies and the sun rising. I didn't feel like walking, but I forced myself and I'm happy I did.

Another day of hanging around while the painter paints. I'm hoping he'll finish by tomorrow, but I really expect him to need Friday as well. And then it will be done.

Maybe then I'll do some serious writing.

Nice & sunny here in deepest, darkest Yorkshire so there will be more grovelling in the gravel pit later.

My #Today is about 9¾ hours old now...

Went to the gym.
Had SniffiVerse™ walkies with my gall.
Went to Nijmegen with Skoosh.
Switched for the Smurf and took along Bas.
Had a small walk with the dogs.
Enjoyed a meal.
Went to the Herperduin with the dogs.
Relaxing for a wee bit, while waiting for the washing machine to finish it's thing...
Then I'll hang the laundry and.... I hope to game some after that.

How is everyone doing today?

Welp. I've found myself in a bit of a conundrum #today. The sun has reached that time in the season when it rises n shines too quickly above the roofline for a proper morning sitting n sipping in.

It's still too cold to step outside in the morning to bask in it, and the breeze is still uninvitingly cold, too, without a heavy shirt. Of course, that kind of defeats the whole sitting n basking bit.

I gave it the ol "college try" and yup, too cold n breezy this morning for this old geezer. So it was back to sitting n sipping in the shade.

Somehow, this sitting n sipping in the shade of the day just does have the "ring" to it that my morning basking in the sunshine does. Hopefully, it will soon be warm enough in my mornings to start #myday of sitting n sipping outside on the porch for my morning sun soakings.

Ah, well. The continuing trials n tribulations of this ol geezer and his sun soaking ..

Well...just got back from the dentist and we have the plan in place how to go forward...need to have my remaining molars removed Friday morning and then rest my mouth for 6 months until all the swelling goes down and everything stabilizes and then they will scan and fit the partial dentures on both sides that will give me a couple of molars on the left and right...so no more chewing for 6 months...will just have to change my diet until then lots of soups an pasta...good morning!

Good morning. The sun has decided to come out, but it is much cooler + windier than the past few days. I suspect it will be a one walk day after errands.

Yesterday’s sun and high 70Fs was a taste of summer without the humidity. So enjoyable to step outside without even a sweater. The cats quickly fell into their warm weather habit of napping on the back porch chairs. This morning they don’t know why I won’t open the door to 48F air.
