😊#NeuHier

Ok, I just installed linux and the experience sucked. Everything worked at the first try, even in advance mode all was flawless.

This is not the experience I remember, where is the need to spend 4 hrs figuring how why the wifi card is not working, or trying 30 different configurations of X.

Now what I am suposse to do? Just use it? Where is the learning at the hard way?

"While each component — API design, QA, and DE — plays a crucial role, their collective impact is far greater when seamlessly integrated. Siloed processes lead to fragmented experiences, but unified workflows foster consistency and drive better outcomes.

Organizations that bridge the gaps between API development, testing, and digital experience monitoring are better positioned to deliver products that not only function but delight users. By focusing on alignment across these domains, businesses create scalable, resilient digital ecosystems that adapt to evolving customer needs.

I’ve seen this borne out by the highest-performing technical teams I’ve worked with over the years. The best teams inevitably have support from the top-down, executives and management who are tech-savvy and truly serious about making their organization a market leader. Without that kind of influential internal support, software teams are often squeezed and forced to try to do more with less, which is almost always a recipe for poor customer experience."

Nordic APIs · The Road to Customer Loyalty Starts at the API Layer | Nordic APIs |Superior customer outcomes are the result of streamlined API design, quality assurance, and digital experience, shares SmartBear's Joe Joyce.

I finally sat down to put thoughts to paper (to screen?) about artificial intelligence (AI).

So many people put the cart before the horse and forget about the experience they really want to enable for their customers. 🤔

Don't just rub some AI on the problem.

Major Hayden · Rub some AI on itIf you have a problem, be sure to add artificial intelligence to it. Then you have two problems.

Reciprocity suggests: give something to website visitors before asking them to give something to you.

So many sites ask GDPR and cookie consent on arrival—a privacy wall similar to a paywall—before giving any cues about the value of the site's information or about its trustworthiness.

I hypothesise it's better to design websites to function without asking cookie permission until it becomes necessary to serve the visitor.

Websites that use key combinations for conventional functions differently or in reverse are really bad.

In the Booking .com messanger, the message is sent with "shift + Enter" and a new line is started with "Enter". In every other chat, such as Slack, this is done the other way around.

My chat:
"Hello..."
"...."

How I hate that.

Second Factor was meant to secure your account. Most people do not have a hardware token and save the second factor in their password manager together with username and password.

It is just logical there are login pages where username, password and 2nd factor are on the same page and can be filled with one click/autofilled from your password manager. Example attached.

Over the years, I have scoured the internet for various versions of the Mac HIG PDFs. Here is my collection so far.

Some neat ones include HIGs for Mac OS 8 & a preliminary Mac OS X version from the Public Beta.

These HIGs contain general desktop guidelines that still apply today & that you can't find in the modern HIG.

Please retoot! Everyone should read these.
