SnoopJI got thinking about "The Tower That Ate People" because of what is turning into my <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/SnoopListens" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SnoopListens</a> thread¹ and the only reason I know of this song and really Peter Gabriel's solo work is because this song (quite briefly!) features in RED PLANET, a <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/ValKilmer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ValKilmer</a> film.People are rightfully gushing about REAL GENIUS and BATMAN and TOP GUN all the other great movies he was in, but I guess RED PLANET is where I'm at right now. Might spin it up for some company as I slog through some more debugging.I can't find a clip of it online, but there's a bit where the song is playing and Val Kilmer is jamming out doing his "space janitor" thing. I was a preteen and went with my grandmother...suffice to say, I didn't get it, but my grandmother hated it. I had yet to discover the <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ZuckerAndAbrahams" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ZuckerAndAbrahams</a>' over-the-top style of <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/TheKentuckyFriedMovie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#TheKentuckyFriedMovie</a> and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Airplane" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Airplane</a>!, which I soon came to love. What a tremendous talent. And what an underwater bar-fight scene! RIP Val.
