Guess what?

DOGE was in the VA this last weekend fucking around in the VA Central Office (VACO).

For you veterans out there, I really hope you have hard copies of your medical record AND your service record. And your veteran ID.

Probably won't be able to get it much too longer.

From Facebook "FedFam resources for federal contractors and employees" I am a contractor for the VA. My company recently got notified by DOGE that our contract has been identified for elimination. They instructed us not to tell VA stakeholders. We are a high performing team that have had this contract for many years, and are deeply ingrained in VA operations. Sometimes I even forget I am a contractor, as we are treated just the same. Curious if anyone else has been experiencing this. Its very unsettling that the stakeholders are being circumvented.

FFS, how about feeding Americans at home?

"projecting strength abroad" is shorthand for playing dirty politics abroad, with US taxpayer funds, to protect corporate interests.

Why are we sending aid abroad? There are people right here in America who could use that aid.

If American people could make the national budget together, hands-on, without conniving politicians to distract us and siphon money, would we still choose to send money abroad? To play goody two shoes? When we are not all fed, housed, educated? When healthcare is too expensive?

Charity begins at home. Sending aid abroad is a view held by the privileged class, who have no idea what hunger and poverty in America is like.

I was involuntarily made homeless in 2023, for being a whistleblower against Accenture Federal Services and the US Department of Veterans Affairs, under Biden.

Biden is corrupt!

Today in Labor History January 15, 1976: A judge sentenced Sara Jane Moore to life in prison. She had attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford in front of the St. Francis Hotel, in San Francisco. It was the second failed attempt on Ford that year. Oliver Sipple, a gay marine veteran happened to be standing nearby and thwarted her second shot. Sipple was out of the closet and fairly well-known in the San Francisco gay scene. He was also friends with Harvey Milk, who outed Sipple to journalist Herb Caen. Milk’s rationale: "For once we can show that gays do heroic things, not just all that caca about molesting children and hanging out in bathrooms." However, Sipple who was still in the closet with respect to his family, was devastated by the fame and attention it drew. His mother disowned him. Family members refused to speak to him. The president refused to invite him to the White House or offer him a medal or commendation. Sipple sued the San Francisco Chronicle for invasion of privacy. But the courts ruled against him. His mental and physical health deteriorated after this. He started drinking heavily and was found dead in his apartment in 1989, at the age of 47.

🕯️ 🎄 For the last 28 years, on Christmas Eve, hundreds of children in the Netherlands have gathered at war cemeteries placing candles at the graves of more than 2,000 Canadian soldiers.🇨🇦 🇳🇱

The tradition started after Leena van Dam, a Finnish woman, brought it to the Netherlands and shared it with the Holten Canadian War Cemetery.
In Finland, it is traditional to place a burning candle on the graves of loved ones. Finnish candles can burn for ten hours and remain lit and withstand most weather conditions. Initially, Mrs. van Dam donated a five-year supply of candles. The Welcome Again Veterans Foundation, through the help of sponsors and donations, has continued funding the candles.
