Blake PattersonReading through the September 1985 issue of "A+" magazine, I came across a rather lovely (to my eye) painting of a person using their Apple //c (presumably using a spreadsheet program, that being the accompanying article...). I can't quite make out the signature of the artist. It's a nice work reminiscent of some of the early Atari VCS box art an A8 manual covers. CassanderAs <a href="https://chittr.sbargv2.com/@admin" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@admin</a> helpfully pointed out, there are <a href="https://github.com/nodrm/DeDRM_tools?tab=readme-ov-file" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">some important DRM removal plugins</a> for <a href="https://calibre-ebook.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Calibre</a>. I DIDN'T realize that the package included a plugin specifically for Kobo and their desktop app. When you have <a href="https://www.kobo.com/us/en/p/desktop" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">the Kobo desktop app</a> installed and your library downloaded (which you can shift-click and download all at once instead of clicking through each of the 40 books individually), one of the plugins from DeDRM, Obok (which is a separate plug and has to be loaded beside DeDRM) can pull the data directly from Kobo Desktop and import it directly to your Calibre library. I wish I'd know that at the beginning of this process.I'm still not ready to recommend buying the bundle from Humble. They've done an unacceptable job communicate this major change in how files are delivered, and deserve a market failure for it. Just last month I purchased the Scalzi bundle, and I could push one button to download a zip file of all the DRM-free ePubs. It's a good price for an excellent collection of books, but Humble/IGN/Ziff Davis have not honestly advertised the product (again, no mention of Adobe OR DRM on the Humble page at the time of this writing).
