This is day uhh 24/100 - took a break to deal with a #multiplesclerosis relapse and real life, but I'm back to doing #The100DayProject. In case you don't remember what that was, here's a link to the site, and I'm drawing with pencil crayon, doing bugs found in Canada (the term bug used loosely).
I might try to double up on a few days until I catch up, we'll see.
I have a colleague who is interested in Mastodon. She suggested a video might be the best way for her to learn about it.
I found this one here, which is basic and quirky. It covers the main issues with signup and usage. Sharing in case someone else would find it useful for the Mastodon-curious people in their lives.
Recommendations for beginners daw?
I'm teaching a 9 year old to play keys. He's been playing around with garage band and I'm trying to get him interested in building productions up more from scratch and playing and recording his own parts. He needs to build some simple grooves and play around recording something on the keys and loop just that one or two bars that sounds good.
Requirements are windows and free (or at least cheap)

Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a particularly bad MS relapse, so not only are my hands not listening, but neither are my eyes and I have constant double vision. I didn't want to give up on my pencil crayon drawings, so.... here's a dusky stinkbug. :) I might have to put a pause on these until after the relapse (it's random, could be a few days, could be a few weeks), as this took me way too long and so much effort (but I'm glad I tried).

MS relapse so my hands are not working properly, but I did my best. Today is the adorable spicebush swallowtail caterpillar. ^^ They look like snakes to scare others away.
Day #8 was supposed to be a carpenter ant but I just couldn't muster it, so I left it as-is. No big deal, tomorrow is another bug!

TGIF! I'm almost 1 week in to #the100dayproject and todays bug is a woollybear caterpillar. It was a hard one to draw, they're just giant fluffs.
Low spoons, still managed to get 1 done, day 5 is a pillbug (also known as a bunch of other things).
This is my attempt at 100 days of pencil crayon drawings (of bugs found in Canada, to be specific). To create some artistic habits and be mindful about creating time for art (and maybe even get better at it).
So far I've been keeping up alright with #the100dayproject but I had less time to work on this one so it's not great. That's OK, at least I did it.
Random info: I'm left handed, so I had to get some paper on the left hand pages so I stop smudging them when I'm doing the right hand pages...
Day 4 - Lady Beetle
Tonight I followed the Cute Fox tutorial by @floortjesart . It's really interesting how some of the digital brushes really act like they're pushing around the paint. We mostly used "Old brush"for this. I admit, I cleaned up the edges of my fox's ears with the Turpentine brush on the eraser setting.
Day 1 is a Willow Leaf Beetle.
I'm doing 100 days of pencil crayon drawings, and decided to go with bugs found in Canada as a theme (nice and simple). I'm hoping this helps create the habit of setting aside time specifically for art, which is something I'm very bad at. Maybe I'll get better at the art thing too if I actually spend time working on it *grins*. Anyway, it's all just for fun.
