A couple of years ago, I bought 10g of #gold (about the size of a Smartie/M&M).
Reason for buying it was so Roll & I could get a feel for it as a #material &, more importantly, so we could use it in teaching & #lectures.
In general, people are afraid of gold - hand someone a piece of gold sheet & say, 'Go on! Bend it, twist it, break it.. feel what it's like!' and they recoil in horror.
But then they do & they get a little understanding that it's not just #bling
