Spring in Oregon is delightful. Especially the cherry and apple blossoms in our yard. And soon they’ll be fruit!

It’s #azalea season in #BatonRouge #Louisiana and this time I thought I’d share the white flowering variety. These particular shrubs were formed into a hedge in front of a historical bungalow in the #SpanishTown neighborhood. I figured they would be of interest to #bloomscrolling and #gardening. The key to getting these type of blooms is not to prune in the fall after the buds are set. If you do that you will only see flowers on the inside of the shrub.
Claytonia sarmentose, also called spring beauty, is one of the early wildflowers I start looking for each year. The curled stigma is one of its most distinctive features.

Never seen magnolia flowers this big before. Will never forget them!
Today has been very grey all day so here’s some #Spring colour from Alexandra Gardens #Cardiff yesterday #BloomScrolling

Da ist mir wohl eine Zwiebel durchgerutscht. Jedenfalls habe ich jetzt eine Hyazinthe auf dem Kompost.
