Remember when CBC used to be balanced? Now CBC=CPC and they can't polish and profile pierre enough it seems. If maple maga win and cancel CBC, I will he sad but will have the same complete lack of empaty that I have for the yankees and english who also gleefully harmed themselves.

We've gone full Inception with the antisemitism in Canada.

The Left abandons Jews, so the Right picks it up and runs with it, using Jews as a pawn to destroy higher education and go after immigrants and Muslims, both in the US and Canada.

So what does the Left do? Does it adjust to try to win back Jewish voters?

Nope! It decides to label Jews as Conservatives to further alienate them.

CBCRising antisemitism sees some Jewish voters turn toward Conservatives this election | CBC NewsJewish Canadians say they're afraid, with rising antisemitism in Canada — including violence at schools and synagogues — since the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel and subsequent war in Gaza. Some say they're voting Conservative for the first time, as they feel let down by the Liberals.

Fashion in ‘North of North’ has generated a lot of comment in social media.

I’ve noticed that many of these come with assumptions about what women would be wearing in Inuit communities, and a lack of understanding of the importance of sustainable design in Inuit culture.

CBC has a great feature with interviews with the show’s creators on the point.

‘The show's emphasis on slow fashion ran counter to a film industry that often operates on a quicker schedule.

"Nothing here is mass-made," Aglok MacDonald said. "So it really is going out to independent artists who are just crafting a few things here and there and seeing if they could put in a bulk order."’

@GottaLaff

Not a peep on Canada's failing #cbc news tonight.

We needed to hear about a guy who 50 years ago as a kid got blown out into Lake Ontario on a raft, was rescued and forgot to say thank you or something.

Touching story.

Far more important to a national broadcaster that this past weekend published not one but four IA-generated photos of the liberal prime ministerial election candidate sharing a laugh with notorious sex offender and suicide Jeffrey Epstein.

Canada's CBC News depicts PM candidate Mark Carney smiling over a bon mot w/ disgraced sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein.

This shortly after coverage excoriating (rightly) the mayor of Peterborough for using the n-word while referencing its historical use by racists (versus aiming it directly—either instance obviously reprehensible).

Here, you see tho, because it aligns w/ CBC's news curation, an obscenity is okay (Carney upset Netanyahu last week.)

CBCChatGPT now lets users create fake images of politicians. We stress-tested it | CBC NewsChatGPT now comes bundled with an updated image generator, and OpenAI has removed the ban on images of public figures. We tested the guardrails to see if we could generate fake images that could deceive voters in an election.

#CBC unfairly attacks #Carney’s father | #NationalPost nationalpost.com/opinion/terry “the attempt to smear the elder Carney backfired. What Carney’s writings and the interview provided actually suggests is that Robert Carney was a good man, genuinely concerned with both the education of Indigenous children and the maintenance of their cultural pride. There are no allegations that the late Carney ever harmed an Indigenous student. As an educator and principal, he appears to have been beyond reproach”

@randahl
This morning I saw a very good explanation of the idiocy behind #kakistocrat #convictedFelon #DonaldTrump's tariffs. #AndrewChang of #CBC news on "The National" program showed how the simple calculation everybody figured out is the same thing as the #Trump regime's "sophisticated formula" they gave as an excuse.

Imo we don't appreciate our public broadcaster as much as we should. The #CBC is important as a media space where we can carve out our niche in media as Canadians. Like the UK has the BBC, we have the CBC, our own public, non-corporate voice.

When you go vote, remember who will protect that.

This cannot be a more important time to have media with journalistic independence which cannot be dictated by oligarch owners.

"When we compare ourselves to the U.K., France or Germany, we see that our public broadcaster is underfunded," Carney said in French during a campaign stop in Montreal. "That has to change."
