@Cyclist Subsidising expensive OTT data centres funded elsewhere (and owned there) is not going to help. The new kid on ther block seems to have got there (still to be verified) by being smarter than the Californians (most of them are based there - no slur intended) and applied thought, rather than brute force to the problem. Maybe education, training and funding for real innovation is a better way to go than throwing GPUs at the problem?

I can't tell which takes more chutzpah: to drive a full 10 miles under the speed limit, during rush hour, on a 2-lane highway, for its entire length

Or

To drive the same highway, at speeds randomly ranging from 10 below to suddenly 10 above then drifting back to 10 below- all while never once looking in your rear view mirror to notice there's a string of vehicles prancing like 3rd graders who need to pee
