Me too, until I discovered that Clover makes 5" needles in US5, a premium bamboo product called Takumi. Here's a shot of one Takumi swapped out for longer DPNs. So much more manageable!

Yay! The Mom Crème Anglaise sweater is at last done, delivered and mom-approved!
I learned so much making this. Lots of frogging back, switching yarns, switching patterns also. Settled on Valley Yarns Charlemont fingering and Cascade Baby Alpaca lace held together - dream combo. I love how the silk helps give the other fibers and the garment structure. Hooray, a #FO!

My (not quite) boyfriend just stopped by while I'm on quarantine to drop off a pair of earrings he made for me! They match my longboard, and they're so dope—I absolutely love them!
He handed them to me in a tiny white takeout box with a little metal wire handle. I put them on, and then we both just stood there on my front porch blushing at each other like highschool kids (kids still blush these days, right?) for like 20 minutes.
God, he's so adorable

Another successful cozy queer craft & chill night. Projects included painting the family dog on an ostrich egg, cross-stitch, embroidery, painting figures for tiny houses, working on real house floorplans, and research for insect embroidery.
Instead of my usual sock darning, I started the beginner embroidery kit my wife got me for my birthday. I learned the saddle stitch and built up some confidence. My goal is to one day freehand embroider to mend some shirts.

It's the very first Middleton-in-Teesdale Indie Market today! At the Auction Mart, 9 until 1pm.
Eve will be there with silk scarves, wall hangings, plant dyed wool, greetings cards. Lots of other makers from the North Pennines. The Farmer's Market is also on, same time, same place.
And the second stone is a little one I made for myself, a "worry stone" to replace my old one which I gave to a friend.
This stone features thick dollops of gloss glaze on top of the dot shapes forming a raised/textured surface that is wonderfully tactile and lovely to rub your fingers over. It turns the stones into lovely little fidget toys or meditation tools.
Anyway, I'm really fond of this one! It feels wonderful to hold and to fidget with. It uses some of my favourite colours, too. 
I have a couple dot paintings to share with you today! The first one I finished up last week sometime, a rather detailed one with colours and patterns inspired by Princess Jasmine from the Disney movie "Aladdin". 
I really like the blue/turquoise patterns in this one. The gold shapes on the outside were an experiment, but they're also kind of neat!
