I'm a big fan of Mike Flanagan's approach to horror and dark themes, and there's something inherently horrifying about most of the origins of Clayface.
The 'Feat of Clay' two-part from Batman the animated series is still hauntingly creepy and unsettling, managing to implement both addiction and body horror as plot points in a kids show in a way that feels disturbing even if you are watching as an adult. So a the pitch for a "standalone Clayface movie as a horror/thriller/tragedy" certainly sounds like it has potential. Really curious to see what comes out of this.
