After #antitrans #accounts from #Iceland and the #UK celebrated #misinformation about the bill being dropped, #UglaStefaníaKristjönudóttirJónsdóttir, a #writer and #expert on #LGBTQ+ issues in #Iceland, reported on #Twitter that the #legislation had #crossparty support in #parliament, despite attempts from known #antitrans #hategroups under #English influence to #oppose it.

Ugla added, "Their #arguments were #dismissed as #antiscience and #antitrans #rhetoric.”

@tweak We run into this same issue a lot! The importance of #trust and #relationships with #autistic people is often #dismissed and overlooked. Our son is still missing some staff even a year later. The way these #transitions are handled and how new staff forges relationships are critically important, in our experience. Sadly, it seems like we start from zero with each new person. The #impact to our kids can be significant. #actuallyautistic @actuallyautistic
