#Happy420 Day!

The last few years I built some controllers mostly based on #ESP using C++ open source projects.
I thought it would be nice to list them for those interested in #homebrew and #beer making.

I like the brew process but also the design and building steps of electronic equipment

1: brew controller designed by a fellow beer brewer. Controls temperature and steps during mashing. Touch screen and a control of the indcution cooker
2: a simple temperature measure and time (as backup when I remotely brew)
3: iSpindle to measure the progression in the alcohol during the fermentation
Now replaced by a device that utilizes bluetooth and qmtt and more because it resides inside a metal container
4: brewpiless, a controller for the fermentation chamber. It switches the cooling and heating to maintain a controlled environment

Below some prototypes, more to follow if there is interest with some links

Got my hands on on the still in dev #esp-32-c5 5G wifi capable devkit module! Took some doing, but after installing the latest espidf I was able to at least compile and run the simple wifi ecmaple and conect it to a 5G wifi network!!

A thread of some of my LED projects, for posterity.

One of my favourites, sound reactive LED rollerskates.

Running WLED on a ESP8266 D1 mini pro on each skate (don't ask, one of my first projects). Which are controlled by an exterior ESP32 with a microphone attached.

The left pair were for my friend for a performance we did.

@jwildeboer I'm kind of considering this. To use it as a "terminal", while putting my #Glinet GL-XE300 travel router, which has a 4G modem, integrated battery and WLAN, into my backpack. And while having this device flashed with the #Freifunk Gluon firmware, to add WLAN meshing and an AP for WiPhone.
On the other hand I was hoping to achieve something similar with a @flow3rbadge which also uses an #ESP. But I think its firmware does not support #SIP yet. And it's sold out (but was cheaper).

New ESP/Arduino project completed: EchoTrack constantly measures your internet connection and gives a visual warning of your ping gets worse.

Was more like a fun project, but I really like it: It‘s colorful, it has a 7 segment display and it acts as a clock the rest of the time.

New YT vid soon…

It's been a long time since my first post on a platform! Hi! I am a teacher of English as a foreign language and a translator, both with over 25 years of experience. Within that, I specialise in assessment, blended learning, English for specific purposes and teacher training. I am also very interested in professional development and have a podcast on the subject. Looking for people to follow.

I need to do battery level next I think. But this is 1 second each minute with no WiFi at all. Does WiFi on hour to time sync, etc. So my guess is we are in to the “several weeks” battery life now. Then need a few watch faces and a menu system, and step counter… #Watchy
All open source C under #ESP IDF.
