Went out to run a 5k this morning because I wanted to get the Garmin points for it, and came in at only 9 seconds slower than my all-time best. Not bad for the first 5k of the year!

(Garmin also says I set a new max heart rate during a running activity, which may not be something to be as proud of...)

No free shuttle for me! On days like today when my car is getting worked on, I turn it into a #cycling adventure. After driving to the mechanic with my bike on the back of the car, I cycle home taking a very scenic route. Then return by bike to pick up my car. Do this year ‘round, rain or shine (and it is shining bright today! 😀). #ocean #beach #nature

I'm being extra good today. It's not the usual omelet #breakfast. I like how they plated it, making it look like my plate is half full of veggies. 😄 The mini corn muffin counts as a veggie. It's also a clue as to where I'm dining. 🤫

And because it's #caturday, here is a lazy #cat lazing on a lazy Saturday.

Do it once or twice and then do it again!
you may want to use weights (or shampoo bottles) and a balancing pillow or a sofa cushion 😆

If you just start training - do it during 5 mins, slowly and rest when you need, try also a harder option!
if you train regularly already - add these 5 mins to the end of your usual workout.
for the extremely fast results you can do it 5 mins in the morning, 5 mins again during the day, then 5 mins before the dinner 😆

It was so nice outside today that I went for a run - my first of the year. It went reasonably well, although I think the music I picked was a little too slow for my feet.

Tomorrow's supposed to be just as warm, but I'm not silly enough to try running two days in a row when I'm this out of practice. (My left knee, in particular, wishes that I'd stayed in.) Maybe I'll go for a walk instead - that way I can at least get the fresh air and sunshine!

Been swimming, and exercising in the hydro pool afterwards. Aqua aerobics music sins today include 200bpm covers of ABBA.

Weirdly quiet in the lap pool though, even though the car park was pretty full. People must be at other classes there. It will be 37 here tomorrow, I'll bet the pool will be packed.

I really enjoyed today, actually I enjoyed yesterday too - I went swimming 🏊🏼‍♀️ on both days. I’m still not very fast but I can manage nearly 1.5 kms in just over an hour & did it on both days. I have definitely improved since the beginning of the season. It’s not how fast I am really, just the fact I’m doing it, but I do like knowing I don’t need a little break after every lap.
I mucked up my new swim goggles 🥽 though, they have an anti fog on the inside & I used a glasses cleaning cloth & apparently that’s a no no! I’m supposed to just rinse & let them air dry. Anyway, I took them into Rebel to ask if there was anything I could do to fix it & I can’t. The lovely saleslady though gave me a new pair & marked the old pair as faulty 😁. This lady has served me before & I thought she was awesome & helpful then, now I know she is. #GoodService #Rebel #Exercise #Swimming #EnjoyingLife

Last night was the first time I’d gotten to workout in two weeks due to illness. Even though it was just an easy hour on the trainer, it felt so good to be active again. I wanted to resume training so much sooner than my body would allow, but a lingering cough kept telling me that I needed to continue recovering. You have to listen to your body, because recovery is just as important as any hard workout.

2. Did a little better on my distance this evening with exercising!
3. Am working very slowly on a loom knitting project. I’ve discovered if I do a few rows each night, it does not irritate my shoulder. Slow and steady wins the race!

Good morning tooters. It’s a slightly cloudy morning for a change, pink streaks when I got up an hour ago. It’s 23c now & again another stinker of 38c. #Weather.
I discovered something last night & it really cooled my place down well which helped me to sleep well - unless it’s coincidence. My aircon was on again all night, but I changed it to the humidity💧setting as it’s a fresher cool & cheaper to run. The humidity outside was about 30% but I don’t think it matters in the scheme of things. So I’m going to keep doing that until the overnight temps get to a much more comfortable level. #Sleep #HotNights #Summer.
Heading to the pool 🏊🏼‍♀️ in less than an hour, meeting a friend for some laps & a laugh. My daughter & grandson will meet me there after school drop off & when I’ll have just about finished my laps with luck. #Exercise #Swimming #Fun
