I’ve been toying with the idea of including #finnish (maybe even Greek & Egyptian too?) mythology into my #storytelling. We do have a vast #mythology , even tho it’s mostly hidden & hard to dig, and long relationship with natural world.
At this moment I would accompany myths with #fineart & keep my classics more… human centered (maybe the other ancient myths in there?).
I guess it’s time for a long overdue #introduction So hi I’m Céleste, from the land of kouign amann (Bretagne) and I came here for the spinny cats. I’m a 24-years-old lesbian and a cat mom of one beautiful orange baby. Trying out she/they pronouns at the moment but I’m a bit lost gender wise so that might change. I’m really into all kinds of #crafts but especially #fibercrafts mainly #knitting these days but I also love #crochet, #sewing, #embroidery among many others. I’ve also tried #pottery and I wish it was more accessible bc I love it so much but can’t do it at the moment. I’m interested in everything #creative (except maybe writing). I love learning languages but I’m really not good at getting to an okay level before switching to the next one. I speak #french and #english fluently, my #swedish used to be good but I lack practice but wanna get back to it, same for #finnish and #german. Currently I’m trying to get better in #spanish and get to an okay level. I’ve also tried #russian, #icelandic, #romanian, #hungarian without great success. I’d love to try out one #sami language one day but I should focus on the other first. Currently completing the last semester of my masters and I will complain a lot about my thesis. I’m also dealing with chronic depression, anxiety and probably other stuffs. I very obviously hate psychiatry although I’m user of it given the lack of alternatives.

#Finnish is such a beautiful and logical language with not one single silly thing about it. For example, the sentences and its reply "I wonder if you would need a bit water?" "Yes, you need water." are as follows:
"Tarvitsettekohan te vähän vettä." "Kyllä te vettä tarvitsette." Once you run it through the dialect filter, it becomes: "Tarttettekohan te vähä vettä." "Juu vettä te tarttette."
And once you also do it very fast, it becomes the remarkable rapid fire all in one go: "Tarttettekotevettä? Vettätetarttette."
A perfect language, so easy to pick up and make out!
I love videogames and movies and other fictional media and my life is a cycle of suffering from one obsession after another. I draw a bunch of fan art but also my original characters, human and anthro alike. I'm very fickle about what I draw so be prepared if you follow me for One Specific Thing because I might not make art for that thing until I circle back to it years later
I also love animals and especially dogs and I have one of my own, a Tibetan spaniel called Nala. She's the best girl
