sometimes when you're ESL you don't understand the subtle negative connotations of being called a "barker" and instead choose to understand it as a "navigator"

(ICYMI #JustinSun is an "advisor" to Trump's 2nd crypto scam #WorldLibertyFinancial, as well as a major player in #Tether and a million other frauds)

(also the "Forbes cover as indicator of financial crime" pipeline remains undefeated)

An alarming pattern across agencies: #DOGE has given conflicting info. about what data it's accessed, who's that access, & most importantly — why.

<50 ppl have access to SSA databases containing 100s of Ms of ppl's private FIN & PERS info.

Only one also has access to the govt's human res & student loan files.

Akash Bobba is one of #DOGE staffers *embedded in fed agencies the last few months with🚨virtually unfettered access to the sensitive data...

Social Security, Buffeted by Turmoil, Awaits a New Leader

The billionaire Elon Musk has become fixated on finding #fraud inside the agency, which provides #retirement, survivor and #disability payments to 73 million Americans each month.

"Musk has claimed that vast numbers of #Americans are fraudulently drawing benefits from the agency, an assertion experts say is demonstrably false."

#Musk’s disclosure in April 2022 sent #Twitter’s share price soaring 27% over the previous close. Because Musk's disclosure came 21 days after his purchase, the #SEC has said, he was able to buy more shares at lower prices, ultimately allowing him to save $150 million on his acquisition of Twitter.

Twitter shareholders have also sued Musk for #fraud.

investigators at the agency also examined whether they could prove intent behind his late filing, which could have led to more serious charges.

‘Along with specific projects it conducts for federal agencies, 18F also designed a public “de-risking guide” to help other parts of the government better vet and manage technology vendors. The guide along with the rest of 18F’s website was wiped from the internet, increasing the risk of government agencies being misled by technology vendors for a period until it the site was reinstated.

‘“We’ve already seen a pattern from Musk, documented in the media, of Musk taking government money,” said one former 18F employee, pointing to the $38 billion Musk has collected in federal contracts to date. “He’s been public beneficiary number one, and if there’s no one around to say, ‘Hey, this contract is not written well, this is going to get us the wrong project, we don’t need to be spending this much money.’

'Hitting a fly with a sledgehammer': Judge blocks DOGE from accessing sensitive Social Security records

The lawsuit challenging DOGE's access was filed last month.
abcnews.go.com/Politics/hittin

"US District Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander wrote the #Trump administration never justified the need to access the #data -- which they argued was vital to identifying alleged #fraud -- and likely violated multiple federal #laws in doing so."

People who think fraud is happening everywhere are people who commit fraud "because everyone else is doing it." They are a minority of people. The rest of us split into two camps: those who don't commit fraud because they are afraid of being caught and those who don't commit fraud because it is immoral and unethical.
Think about that the next time you hear someone screaming about fraud. #fraud

Musk's DOGE could end up once again generating more expenses than it saves...

"On Feb. 20, nearly 7,000 probationary employees at the Internal Revenue Service began receiving an unsigned letter telling them that they had been fired for poor performance.

Trump administration lawyers insist that the IRS and other federal agencies have acted within their authority when they ordered waves of mass terminations since Trump took office. But according to previously unreported emails obtained by ProPublica, a top lawyer at the IRS warned administration officials that the performance-related language in his agency’s termination letter was “a false statement” that amounted to “fraud” if the agency kept the language in the letter.

The emails reveal that in the hours before the IRS sent out its Feb. 20 termination letter, a fierce dispute played out at the agency’s highest levels.

Joseph Rillotta, a senior IRS lawyer, wrote that “no one” at the IRS had taken into account the performance of the probationary workers set to be fired. Rillotta urged that the language be struck from the draft termination letter.

If the falsehood wasn’t removed, Rillotta said he would file a report with the inspector general for the IRS."

#DOGE isn't just "auditing": systems -going in & looking at stuff -CXL contracts -say it's saving the American ppl💰, but when you CXL a contract, you're still resp bc there's a legal AGTt there for paying out part of it -oftentimes when the govt buys something, it -in bulk -get a discount -give you 5, 10% off. But when you CXL that contract, you're already paying 10, 15% of what that contract might have had to be anyway to CXL it -likely not saving💰.

Tesla (TSLA) accounting raises red flags as report shows $1.4 billion missing

$1.4bn is a lot to fall through the cracks, even for Tesla
archive.is/uLXoy#selection-327

"attention is returning to the group’s underlying numbers, now that its fully diluted #StockMarket valuation has crashed from $1.7tn to below $800bn.

Such anomalies can be red flags, potentially indicative of weak internal controls. Aggressive classification of operating expenses as investment can be used to artificially boost reported profits."

Tesla (TSLA) accounting raises red flags as report shows $1.4 billion missing

"Many #Tesla shorts and detractors have questioned Tesla’s #accounting for years...

Today, the #FinancialTimes has released a new report pointing to a $1.4 billion gap in assets...

The report also points to other red flags...

but with #Trump and #Musk kneecapping the #SEC, repercussions are unlikely."
