Pretty pretty PINK ballerina princess cake topper now done. :) Shipped even. Spiderman also shipped. Now back to my hip hop cake design. :) And I've just taken on a TRUCK (as in construction vehicles or monster trucks) one for big brother of the spiderman topper (can't do one brother without the other, right? :)) So I'll be learning a lot about big trucks it appears. :) #NDBProjectLaser #Glowforge #Lasercutting

Modular cake topper made out of acrylic. White outlines with colored acrylic inlay. In the center a white arch with pink inlaid flowers and the little girl's name inlayed at the top of the arch. Under the arch a 6-inch-tall ballerina on her toes with her arms arched over her head. Inlay of transparent rose gold for face and arms and dark smokey bronze hair. The tutu is made up of various opaque and frosted pinks. Surrounding the central ballerina, four smaller ballerinas also in pink with their arms outstretched towards the central ballerina. At the foot and in the front of the ballerinas, in darker pink, the word Happy Birthday about an inch and a half high. And a larger number 5.

I'm a #FSB/#3CK (Foreign Service Brat/3rd Culture Kid). I did pro & vol #Theatre as a #Techie and #Designer. I got into the #SCA and #Cosplay as it allowed me to make costumes without the time requirements of being part of a show! Jokes on me.
My most recent (coming up on year 9) obsession is my #Glowforge laser.

Sharing more playtime project. Laser with acrylic. Last thing was October birthday cake topper, inspired by photo of friends' little boy and his dog, looking out of their window together. I added in separate pumpkins and the word ONE. He's one obvs. :) I use Adobe Illustrator and cut on laser. I try to get kerf (hair width material laser removes when it cuts) exact 0.055" +/-, so acrylic inlay slots right in. Not "high art" but it's fun. #illustration #laser #maker #NDBProjectLaser #glowforge

Handmade custom Happy Birthday Cake Topper made out of acrylic. Subject little boy and his dog. One Year Old. Additional pumpkins as separate cake toppers to stick around the main topper.
