I was convinced IFL Science was "It's-a-F^cking-Lie" Science, like a parody page, but it's true. It's been almost fourty years since Orcas were wearing dead salmon as hats. They're not making this up. I do not remember this, & also what a time to be alive.

Todays #homestead achievement: Heat the sauna entirely from wood scraps found leaning on the walls of various sheds.

Slowly cleaning up the place, little by little. Plastic goes in the recycling, rotten wood in the compost, sketchy wood in the sauna oven, good wood is stored, metal gets sorted and trees freed of bits of string and wire, as far as it hasn't grown in yet.

Found a head under one of the wood scraps outside. Impaled it on a fence post, as you do.

A head impaled on a fence post. It appears humanoid, of young age and made of plastic that does not decay. It's dirty from being half buried under some old wood. The eyes are still blue. The hair seems to have been more biodegradable and is gone apart from some dark stubble.
